Who We Are

The Patane family have been growing and harvesting fresh produce in the South West of WA for over 70 years with three generations working in the business. Patane Produce is recognised as one of Western Australia’s most successful horticulture enterprises, with a reputation for reliability and excellence in fresh vegetable produce.

Today Patane Produce is owned and operated by Michael and Pennie Patane who are supported by two full time clerical staff, highly experienced production supervisors, and a shed workforce of 20+ personnel.

All Patane’s produce is grown in the Southwest of Western Australia under the watchful eye of our experienced farmers and vegetable growers. The hub of the Patane business is located at the corner of Pead and Old Coast Roads Myalup, and includes growing areas, administration buildings and several washing and packing complexes. This property is supplemented by several other properties in close proximity which contribute to a total growing area of approximately 440ha.

Produce grown include carrots, onions, broccoli and potatoes and are all washed an packed on site ready for distribution. Our premises are situated close to the growing areas ensuring that once picked produce reaches the store and sorting areas almost instantly.

In addition to the local market, Patane Produce has export supply chains established with Europe, Asia and the Middle East and control the supply chain from farm to port.

Patane Farm

Patane Farm’s herd consists of up to 400 head of Angus. Patane Farms’ herd runs alongside Patane Produce Pty Ltd as part of our environmental sustainability program, consuming vegetable products unfit for commercial sale.

The combination of grass and vegetable fed cattle gives Patane Farms a unique advantage in maintaining the size and strength of our herd regardless of environmental and industry conditions.

Patane Farms’ beef cattle are of high quality and are sold locally. Our herd is hormone free and conforms to all Meat Standards Australia (MSA) regulations.

Patane Markets

Patane operates at the Canningvale wholesale markets, providing retailers year round access to an uninterrupted supply of fresh, quality produce for their customers.
Our wholesale stand offers a broad range of West Australian and Australian grown produce along with imported when it isn’t available locally.
